Not a sibling, Not any other relation,
A Friend is a person, without whom
Life is an empty station

Siblings fight,could be solved
without even its trace
Spouse fights, should be resolved
and never should have a trace

But a fight with a friend
sucks away the soul,

even by the change of time

My Gokusen Fanfic - 2 [ Part 1]

FRIEND OR BOYFRIEND


3-D classroom was very noisy. Every one was shouting at top of their voices. Today is their last day before exams. Though Kumiko was there she didn’t even attempt to stop them. Its their last class, couldn’t stop them have their final laugh of their student’ life. Everyone will be graduating and gone. Though I would have other batches come I wont feel the same. I would miss them a lot. Especially ……. Her thoughts faded when someone hit her on the head with the papers, which was in her desk. She turned around to see Shin with papers in his hands.


He asked, ‘The bell rang long ago. What are you brooding about?’


Regaining herself, but becoming sad once again, ‘They left without saying bye to me? I thought they would definitely shed tears on separation but seems not one liked me. Everyone left without even a word. Think I haven’t done good job being their teacher. Am I no good Sawada?’ She was almost in tears.


‘Stop acting like that. You are being so emo. We still have exams left before saying goodbye. Don’t act like this any time again. I hate it’ He said in a very low voice. He started towards the door, before continuing, ‘By the way, but for you, they wouldn’t be even planning to attend the exams. So you are good.’


She followed him to the door out of the school. But she was still upset and she was trying very hard to control her tears. Shin has never seen her like this and he was very uncomfortable. He walked ahead of her very fast which she didn’t even realize. He hate it even more when she didn’t give her attention to him. He walked to her straight, and stopped her by grabbing her arms. She was so stunned and surprised.


‘I said quit acting like that. Its not the end. If you are gonna be like this, I wont ever talk to you again’ He shouted at her and left in a hurry.


Stunned at his madness, she just saw him walk fast and disappear behind the turn. Idiot I am gonna miss you all especially you. How can I act normal? She wanted to shout back but just withdrew her emotions and went to her house.


The next few days passed very quickly as the exams started. The students would come and talk to her after writing the exams, which she knew, would have been only because Shin told them to. They discussed their papers with her. The final exam was over, everyone was happy to go out of the school except for one red-haired student. He and Kumiko hardly spoke during the exams. She didn’t want to bother him so she always wore a smile whenever she saw him. But it was very obvious for Shin to find it out but he just kept ignoring it. The last exam being over, Shin started to go out of the class without talking to her. It hurt her very much. She finished her work and ran out of the school to catch to him but he was nowhere to be seen. She was frustrated. She was angered. She even wanted to shout and cry. Why Shin, why are you doing this to me. Is it wrong to show my emotions. Its only to you I am a bit free. I never show any of such emotions to anyone. I never had anyone like you for me. Is it wrong to think you as a special person? IS it wrong to think that you are always there for me not only when I am happy or want any suggestion but also when I want to shed tears? You are the only person who has ever seen me in such a state. Why Shin? Why? She was very upset and it was very visible in her face. But she didn’t let her tears down because he wasn’t there around to wipe it off or so she thought. She went to her home and went straight to the training hall. She punched the practicing bag till her hand fell off and she just fell to the floor. She stared the roof for long time and she was oblivious of what’s going around her.


Suddenly she heard Kyo’ voice shouting in the garden. Its better to be with some company, than to be alone, in this situation. She murmured to herself and went to find him. She was so stunned and shocked to see Shin with him. I shouldn’t have come out at all. She blamed herself but as Kyo already waved at her, she had to go to him.


‘Oujo, the young master has come to say his goodbye it seems. He’s going to go abroad for his higher studies. Isn’t he kind?’ Kyo was jabbering


She was shocked even more. It was very obvious from her expression. Even Kyo found it difficult to see his Oujo like that. He left both of them with some lame excuse.


‘So you are leaving’ She asked him


‘Why? Do you want me to be here?’


‘Why would I want that? And again, I was the one who said you are not needed in Avedo house’


‘But what’s with that ‘My world ends here’ expression on your face?’


She didn’t respond.


‘Actually I came here to say something important’ He said


She wasn’t listening. Her heart ached by the fact that she would be all-alone, after he’s gone. She was visualizing all the incidents she had with him. Seeing her not attentive, he shook her. She came back to the present.



‘hehe sorry. What were you saying’ She began acting all goofy.


‘Hey you can stop that’ he said without looking at her.


‘en? What?’


‘Your heheing ofcourse’


‘Now you don’t like my heheing too. I thought you just didn’t like me emotional. Just what should I do if I shouldn’t be emotional or heheing’


‘You are weird you know’ he said coldly.


It hurt her even more. She missed talking to him all these days and now he come and talk even more coldly. She was on the verge of loosing control over her emotions. Kumiko what happened to you? If anyone upset you, the only thing you would do is to beat them up. But you are you so weak now. Why cant you just put some sense into his brains by beating him. No I cant do that. I just cant do that to Shin. He’s not just a student to me. He’s more than that.


‘Why weren’t you talking to me the past few days?’ Kumiko asked


‘Eerrrr, you know I was busy. Don’t you?’


‘Busy han? You really don’t have to study hard I know that better than anything. You were avoiding me. Why did you do that?’


‘Well why would I do that’


‘That’s what I wanted to know’


‘What the big deal? Its only me who didn’t talk to you. All you other beloved students came to talk to you na. You were only worried about them’


‘I never said I didn’t bother about you’


‘Well, when I was still there in the class talking to you the day before exams, you were only worried that all others didn’t talk to you. Even though I was there, you only asked for them. Didn’t even bother to wish me or talk to me. Not that I expected.’ He said in a cold voice.


‘Hey I was only thinking about missing all you guys’


‘First, tell me clearly who am I to you. Am I same as Ochi and others to you? Am I like Tetsu and Minoru to you? Or am I your Shinohara?’ He said the last part with more emotion.


She just stared at him without any emotions. ‘You know you are definitely more important to me than my other students. Tetsu and Minoru would probably hate me if I tell you are much more important. But that’s the fact. And Shinohara-sensei, don’t even imagine yourself to be equal. You are much more important than any other people I have ever acquainted with. You are not my student anymore and I don’t just consider you as my bother, you are.. you are…. My FRIEND damn it. Is it that hard to understand? I always want you to be beside me. Be there for me always. I have never ever been so emotional in my whole life except for the past few days thinking that I should have to part with you.’


‘You are talking like I am your boy-friend’ He rolled his eyes but expectantly he met her eyes. There was no emotion but horror in it.


‘Shin, you idiot. All my other relations may change at any time. Many people may come in as my brothers or students. I may even end up not marrying him. But I just don’t want to be without you around. And you are NOT my boy friend. You are much more than that. My friend. My only friend. Sure I have Ms.Fujiyama but don’t you know you are the only one I always wanted to share and enjoy.’


‘err… you still talk like I am your boy-friend’


She whacked him on the head, which he dodged easily. She was even more surprised.


‘You always told don’t mess up with my business. I don’t want you to be around me. Blah blah blah….. and now you tell you want me to be by your side always’



She remained silence. Did he really not understand her emotions? Or is he really correct. Am I thinking him in Shinohara-san’ place? No way… She shook her head. He’ my student. My best one. And I want him to be by my side as he always did.



Seeing her facial reactions, Shin said, ‘Okay Kumiko! You don’t have to answer. If that’s what you want, I am more than happy to be your friend. Only that I always thought myself as a competitor to your Shinohara and I am not willing to let go of that thought for ever. I will wait till you make up your mind. I will be your friend till you call me your BF.’


Hearing her name for the first time from him, she was totally taken back. ‘What shouldn’t I call you by your name. Now that we are friends, I can call you by your name, Kumiko’ he said with a smirk.


‘Of course you are my BF’ She told with a even wide smirk.



He froze suddenly. He came near her to pull her to him. She suddenly moved aside, laughing,


‘BF means Beloved Friend Idiot’ she said running to the dining table where everyone was waiting for them.


Darn it Kumiko, I really want to be your boy-friend not just a friend. But anything to make you happy and back to normal, he thought following her to the dining table.

My Gokusen Fanfic - 1 [ Part 2]

KUMIKO'S CONFUSIONS



The next day at school, Kumiko entered the classroom of 3-D only to find the last desk empty. She went to rooftop to find that missing boy. Shin was there, lying on his back with his face covered with a book. When he heard the foot steps nearing him and knowing whose they belong to, he just stood up and took his bag and left the roof-top without even looking at her. She was a bit surprised and annoyed at his behaviour. But knowing that this is the reaction she would get after what happened the last night, she just smirked and followed him to class. Even in the class, all he did was just to see out of the window and not once, not even by mistake did he turn to look at her. She really got mad at his behaviour. She tried to talk to him but all she got for an answer was ‘Ah’.

Immediately after the school was over, Shin, much to the surprise of his gang and to the annoyance of Kumiko, left.

Uchi : Hey Shin, what has got in to you today? You behave so very abnormal

Shin : In what way?

Minami : For once, you are starting early today.

Shin : Have to go somewhere. See you guys later.

Others : Yea bye.

Kumiko, who was listening to this conversation, thought of following him. But restricted herself. ‘If hes not gonna, talk why the heck should I even bother. After all was not wrong. I just said ….’ The other mind told, ‘yea you told hes a kid, that would hurt anyone especially him when you know how mad he gets when you call him that’

Finally, she told herself, ‘I was not wrong and I am not going to be bothered by the fact that hesnt talking to me any more’ But her eyes betrayed her. Before anyone could see her in that state, she darted to her home.

On entering her home, she heard noises from the training hall and went to see whos become so sincere to train there. She almost fell off when she saw Shin training with Kyou. Suddenly, she smiled evilly, with the thought that, ‘Shin, pay-back time. If you don’t die, you are sure to at least be bed-ridden for a week’. She smirked and went off. Shin saw her smirk and became even more adamant to be trained. He just wanted to be stronger. But his determination did nothing to protect him from his trainer. He just rained punches on him. He was dead flat when the training was called off for the day. He was so relieved that day ended but felt very painful to have been knocked down in front of Kumiko.

A week passed, with Shin and Kumiko not talking with each other at the school and evenings, Kumiko would wontedly go and watch them train. She saw him progress. In a week, he had made a good improvement and was able to easily dodge Kyou’ attack and even tried to hit him back. But she wasn’t finished with her pay-back. He’s gonna get more pain than she suffered from not talking to him. ‘Oh wait! Why should I be in pain for that? He’s just another brat trying to become stronger. Why should I feel bad for not talking to him? Why do I miss him so much at school? Why do I get immense pleasure in hurting him? Why do I see him even when hes not around? Why do I want him to be with me always? I am going all crazy again, I think. She talked to herself. She shook her head and pushed her thoughts aside. Reason or no reason, I am not done punishing him for not talking with me. So what if he’s become good, I would find a way so that he would be flat tomorrow too, in pain. You are so mean her mind told her Why thank you, the other mind told and laughed heartily. He deserves it for hurting me. Wait, why should I be hurt in the first place. Oh God, Whatever is happening to me? She looked at herself in the mirror but couldn’t see her. All she saw was Shin standing when she was so sure he wouldn’t enter her room. She sighed.

The next day at school, during the break, Noda was telling his group about the girl he’s gonna date that weekend. Everyone started talking about girls except for Shin. Kumiko, out of no-where came and joined the conversation. Everyone was quite startled to see her join them. She came down upon them for going out at such young age.

Minami : en? “Young age” Who’s young? We are high school students what do you expect?

Kumiko : Yes. You are just school students. You shouldn’t be engaging yourself in such acts

Noda : Why did you even bother joining our conversation, Yankumi. You very well know, we wont listen to you anyway. And Dating is our birthright. Now, just buzz off.

Kumiko was about to silence him with her punch, when she heard

Shin : umm, dating aren’t that bad I should say.

Everyone gaped at that sentence from him.

Noda : Did you really say what you said now Shin?

Shin : [That idiot Yankumi, if I hadn’t blurted that sentence, her cover would have blown out Ah [Idiot, making me say such non-sensical sentences

Uchi : Hey, we know you are behaving weird these days Shin. But we never thought this change would ever happen. So tell us what kinda girl you like.

Shin : “ “

Kumiko : Say it [staring at him, all these time

Shin : I don’t think physical appearance would turn me. But I certainly wouldn’t let my girl have pig tails or glasses

Everyone turned to look at Kumiko and laughed.

Uchi : Don’t worry Shin, not all girls have as bad taste as Yankumi.

They roared again. Shin tried his best to pull Uchi and others away from fuming Kumiko.

Kumiko : Then what kinda girl you like[she cried out after him

He stopped suddenly, went near her, and asked “Why? You want to change for me?”

She turned beet red and moved away from the group everyone now laughing even more.

That brat Sawada, who does he think he is. Talking to me like that. I just wanted to rip his head off but couldn’t do with everyone around. I will smash him when he comes today for practice with Kyou. In the evening, at Avedo house, Shin was in his practice when Kyou came and informed Kumiko about his progress.

Kumiko : Yes Kyou-san I saw that yesterday. You are such a good trainer. She smiled.

So you have become too good han? So what, I will beat you dead no matter what. If I cant make much damage out then I will kill u inside. Lets see how you take this. She thought of something and went to her room and locked it behind her.

Next day morning, she messaged him to come to school a little bit early and wait for her in the roof-top. Knowing her, he thought, she would come and either lecture him or gonna beat him to pulp. But he did come early and waited for her. He was lying down with a book over his face, when he sensed her coming near him.

‘Why you called me Yankumi?’ He asked without any interest in his voice. ‘If you want to fight, then your place is perfect not the roof-top.’

‘I didn’t come to fight you, Shin’ She said with a voice which Shin couldn’t believe to be her’s and also she called him by his name. He took the book off his face and gaped at the scene. She was standing so close to him but not in her usual outfit but in a very different outfit Shin can ever imagine on her. She was wearing golden-honey coloured dress rolling down till her feet with small red and black frills spreading across her chest diagonally. She looked absolutely stunning in it with her hair neatly combed without a pigtail and she had had it in her front, which covered one of her naked shoulder. The other shoulder had a thin strip, which held the dress on to her. And there were no glasses. As it was very early, only 7.00 am no one was in the school and also the sun was just rising. She was glittering in its rays. He could hardly breath when he saw her. He took a whole 5min to get it registered in his mind that it is in real his Kumiko. He sat up at once.

‘What happened Shin? Why are you staring at me like that? Did you see your girl in me or what? She bent near his ears and whispered. It was too much for him. He was loosing his control. All he wanted to do was to hold her tight in his embrace and steal her lips. Her voice was so seductive. He really couldn’t believe it himself. He has never imagined her like that before. It was all so sudden that he was thoroughly confused. He stood up still not out of that trace. He realized, she was standing dangerously close to him. Her smile, or rather was it a smirk, was taunting him. He just wanted to press his lips against those. When he walked unconsciously close to her, she let him near her and when he bent to kiss her, she whispered in his ears, ‘What are you doing, my dear student?. You are six years younger than me. Did you forget?’ in a very sweet voice. It took him several minutes for him to understand what she told him. But it had the effect she was planning for. His face showed reaction. It was all- shock, anger, emptiness and even hatred. She smirked again and said, ‘Never ever underestimate what I can do. SAWADA’ She told him and quickly went down to get changed to her normal Yankumi style, leaving behind emotionally tormented Shin on the roof-top alone.

Shin couldn’t stand there, he thought, the earth under his feet was giving away and he fell on his knees. ‘Oh God! What has she done to me? That, That, …..’ He couldn’t find a word to express his hatred to her at that moment. Everything was so blurred to him at that moment. He thought its best to be out of school even before it commenced and just go somewhere away from her where he wouldn’t be able to think about anything. But he didn’t want to be alone fearing, loneness would remind him of her and that too in the close proximity he had with her a few min before. He thought sparring would take his mind off this scene and went straight to Kyou. Kyou was very surprised to see Shin at that hour and wanted to ask what happened. But seeing his face, it was crystal clear that he was severely beaten inwardly. He just said nothing and when Shin asked for practice he was more glad to help him out. They sparred all through the day. When Kyou went on a break, Shin even called Tetsu and Minoru to fight him. He didn’t even want one idle time with him that day. The evening came, Kyou had tried to get the answer out of Shin but was futile. Kumiko entered the household and saw a very depressed and exhausted Shin lying on the backyard just staring at the sky.

When she realized, only she and Shin are in the house all alone, Kumiko came near him smirked at Shin who was still lying on the floor.

Kumiko : So you are still a KID, just trying to be all hero. I just saw Kyou going out. He told you could hardly evade his kicks today. You were just having fluke all these days it seems.

She seemed a bit back to normal because her anger had been satisfied with his torn down look this morning. She even pitied him in the morning and blushed at the thought that he actually could have kissed her.

Shin seeing her normal, smiled and got up, went near her as close as he can and whispered in her ears, “Had I been just a kid to you, then you wouldn’t have done what you did today morning.”

Kumiko was so shocked and thunderstruck, very blushed because of the closeness and because of what he told, “en? What? Umm?” is all what she could say.

Shin smirked and came in even close as if he’s gonna kiss her. She closed her eyes tight without thinking of moving or stopping him. She could feel his presence near him, so close, that it was becoming hard for her to breathe. Why didn’t I feel like this in the morning. Oi, who said you didn’t feel like this? You looked even more pathetic than him when he didn’t kiss you, just that your ego got better of you and for once it was for good else your little plan would be all miserably failed, her inner mind shouted at her. She opened her eyes and found him gone from there. She felt angry she felt sudden urge to shout at him but didn’t understand for what? Should she be mad at him for coming so close to her or for not kissing her? She was confused and hurt. She saw him stepping into the streets with his back to her. But she definitely knows how his face would be. He was having the wickedest smirk he ever had.

She was about to break down. She just sat on the ground not wanting to fall because of her shivering legs. She let some tears drop from her eyes before she realized a note in her had. The scene went through her mind once again. After she shut her eyes, she could sense him take her hand and squeeze it. Then he suddenly let go off her hand and it took some time for her to open her eyes. He must have thrust the paper then.

It read : JUST TWO MORE MONTHS FOR GRADUATION. AFTER THAT YOU ARE MINE. AND NEVER WEAR THAT KINDA DRESS AROUND ME BEFORE THAT TIME.

She just smiled. I know your weakness now Shin Sawada, she smirked. ‘And I am happy to know it’ she said aloud to herself.

Separation

Inside my cage I lived
Singing happily
dancing merrily
though very lonely

I wanted a spot, a place

in the whole wide world
just for being myself

I prayed my God
who granted my wish
gave me freedom
within my expanded cage

cause i got acquainted
with birds many more

I even became very evily possessive
of my new made friends

We laughed, We cried
We teased, we even fought
But always been together
Always there for each other

Suddenly my freedom collapsed
though only temporary
I tried to fly to them
getting hurt cause i forgot the cage

One fine day
Everything was normal again
Greeted by my friends
heartily and happily

Suddenly one of the bird
turned away from me
without any reasons
making me hurt and cry

Not able to talk or sing
together anymore
my heart cries
without anyone to hear

The unfallen tears, blinded my path
The unheard sobs, teared my heart
The unspoken words, sucked my soul away

THE END

My Gokusen Fanfic - 1 [ Part 1]

He was sitting in his chair in his usual position. Legs on the table, crossed, hands behind his head, eyes closed and ears attached to the head phone of his ipod. But he let out a groan. "Arrgggg, why the heck am I thinking about her now?" Suddenly he felt very frustrated or was it nervousness. He didnt understand. All he wanted at that time was to be out on the road feeling the cold air. "That should relax me", he thought. He opened his room door but he saw the security heads roaming outside his room. So he shut it and so his only chance is to jump out of window. But when he neared it to do so, the only thought that came to his mind was her standing there reciting Shakespear' lines. "Bloody hell, I am going all nuts", he scolded himself and jumped out of it, on to the road.

He walked where his legs took him. He just wanted to be out and now when hes out his eyes voluntarily searched for her even though he knows that its vain. At that moment, his mobile creached,

The other end,
Kuma : hey shin it think we got problem

Shin : Ah, what

Kuma : I think Yankumi is being kidnapped

Shin : [nervous] What happened? Where are you now?

Kuma : I am near Avedo house. I saw two men taking a fainted Yankumi into the car. She was saying "Shi.... Shi...." After them were two people from Avedo house, shouting revenge and chasing Yamaguchi' dog. He was braking frantically and running fast.

Shin : [becoming angry] [Why the heck do i even bother about her when shes calling him even at this state, he thought] Which direction the car went?

Kuma : errr, I think it went towards the abondoned ware house near the railway station.

Shin : Ok [shuts the phone]

He runs to the ware house, but was very shocked to see men heaped together outside the warehouse door. He carefully jumped above avoiding them and went inside to see Kumiko on the floor. She seemed unhurt. But her eyes were closed. So he became worried and went near her and checked her pulse. It was very normal. He let out sigh of relief.

Feeling his hand on her wrist, she opened her eyes and stared at him.

Kumiko : What are you doing here?

Shin : Just the question i should ask you

Kumiko : These idiots thought they could kidnap me for a ransom

Shin : Kidnapping Avedo successor?

Kumiko : na, i dont think they know about me. I was just walking Fuji when this happened.

Shin : So, I presume you saved yourself.

Kumiko : They didnt stand a chance. [she chuckled] Such a low life they are. [Guffawed again]

Shin : [what if they had a chance?, he wanted to ask. But knowing that it is out of question, he just shut up] Why were you doing lying down now?

Kumiko : hehehe, I think I just dozed off. Hehehe. So what made you come here? Dont say you were following me

Shin : Baka. Kuma saw you being abducted and your two so-called brothers saying revenge after that following your dog. He thought they are kidnapping you and they are after your dog too.

Kumiko : en? Oh no! Inform him i am safe now.

Shin : yea i will [ took his mobile and called Kuma]

Kuma : hi shin-chan

Shin : hey, yamaguchi is alright now.

Kuma : Thats great shin-chan, you saved her and i saved her dog. Inform her this please.

Shin : err what?

Kuma : When i saw them chasing i quickly threw a juicy meat burger i was having to the dog and it came to me. I then took it in my bike and now i am waiting near our school

Shin : What happened to those who were chasing the dog

Kuma : I dont know. They were searching all over and went in different directions to search it i think

Shin : [wanted to scold him, but withdrew] ah thats ok now let the dog go. And you go back to your home too. Will meet tomorrow.

Kuma : ok [so proud of himself]

Shin : [with a smirk], Kuma got Fuji and your brothers are still running to find you

Kumiko : [grabbed his mobile and called them] 'Tetsu, its me. I am alright now. I will be in house within 1/2 hr, inform Minoru and others too, ok'

Shin : How did you let yourself into this mess. I thought you were alert

Kumiko : Well, i was alone in the house, everyone out doing something or the other. So i and Fuji went out for a walk when i saw Tetsu and Minoru coming. I was happy to see them. Infact, i would have been happy to see anybody coming at that hour. So i was just going to greet them when all of a sudden i smelt something and kinda fainted. Before they could reach me these men brought me here. But the spray they used must be very low quality, i really didnt faint. All i had to do was to get out of the car and informed who i am and made pulp out of them. Simple job, easily done.

Shin : Ah i c. ummmm, Kuma said, you were calling 'shi... shi...' when you fainted.

Kumiko : [looking straight into his eyes, thought, that was what i was thinking too. Why did i say that name.]

Shin : [seeing her seriously thinking] what are you thinking now?

Kumiko : Whoa, i thought you could easily read me

Shin : [just looked away, i am too irritated to think anything about that person now]

Kumiko : [Well, i see him daily, i talk to him daily, hes more of a friend now to me, so it was natural of me to call Shin, when i was in that circumstance, isint rite? Ranma and Akane were going back to home from school, with Ranma asusal in the railings. 'She does look cute.' Ranma bit his lips. This is the nth time i am getting such thoughts now_a_days. 'Why Akane what happened to me. why couldnt I be like before with u, Ranma asked himself. Later that evening, just after dinner, Ranma was sitting on the roof directly above Akane' room. 'Should I call her and say my feelings to her. How would she react?' He pictured himself being hit by the tile in Akane' hands. 'I am not afraid of anything. But this pressure is too much to handle. I am loosing my concentration even in fights.' I should say to her atleast talk about this to her. Now. He went to her window and called softly, 'Hey Akane, are u up still?'
'What r u doing here at this time?' Akane
'I have something to tell you. can you come up with me?'
'Sure.' She came up. 'Whats it Ranma? You havent called me say how uncute i am . have you?'
'No Akane. Infact i was thinking how cute you are.'
'Weird'. She touched his foreheadm, 'your temperature seems to be normal. What has happened to you?'
'Thats what i was wondering myself. I really wanted to be by your side always, Akane. What do you think happened to me?'
Akane stared at him growing red. She realised he was acting weired for the past one week but never guessed its this. She had always longed to be
with him but never expressed her feeling for the fear of a broken heart. There was a long silence and Ranma broke it. 'Akane, I want to hold your
hands. can i?' He reached for her hands. But when his hand touched hers, Ranma pushed Akane to the ground and without turning back ran away
from her. 'Ranma help me' Akane cried out hanging from the roof with that unexpected push drenching in the rain. But all she could see was the red haired girl running far away from her. Akane pulled herself and jumped from the roof with a slight thud. She stood up but couldnt walk. She has sprained her leg. But even more painful was being pushed by Ranma at a very unexpected moment. She was flying in air when Ranma expressed himself. 'That idiot. Why do he have to push me?' She cursed him and went to her room limping. Inside the house, Kasumi heard the noise and come out to see what it is. She saw Akane limping and helped her inside. She gave towel to dry herself and prepared tea. 'What happened Akane? Why are you limping? I thought you were with Ranma.' 'I was. But he suddenly took off and i feel down unexpectedly.'
'Let's go to Dr.Tofu' right away Akane'
'Us. No dont worry Kasumi. I would be alright by myself. Its not new to me.'
'I insist on coming. Anyway i want to meet him too. It had been a long time since i met him'
'Kasumi, if you want me to get treatment from him, please dont accompany me' Akane bit her lips. 'What have i said now.'
'I dont understand what you said Akane.'
'Kasumi, I am sorry. But i think you noticed how Dr.Tofu acts when you are around.'
'He is weird. But i think he is a good doctor. But all the time i see the patients running away from his clinic. Still he has a good name. I wonder how.'
'Kasumi, you mean to say, you really dont understand why he acts the way he does? He acts like that only when you are around.'
'Why would he do so. Anyway Akane, its getting late. Let me accompany you. I want to know the answer myself too.'
At Dr.Tofu' clinic, Akane went inside leaving kasumi out. After getting treatment for her leg, she called kasumi in.
'Hello kasumi. How strange its for us to meet here of all places.' Dr.Tofu shook hands with the skeleton hanging in its stand.
'Dr.Tofu I am here. I want to talk to you Dr.'
Facing Akane, he asked, 'yes Kasumi. What is it?'
'Dr. I am here' and saying she turned him to face her. With her touch, he jumped so suddenly that everyone were scared. 'Dr. Face me and talk to
me for a minute.'
'Yes Kasumi. Yes Kasumi. Yes Kasumi. Yes Kasumi. ......'
'Dr.Tofu are you in love with me?' Even Akane was stunned with that question. Kasumi was the last person she expected to ask boldly like that

But Dr.Tofu had different expression. He became normal and looked at kasumi. After a brief silence, he said 'Yes Kasumi. I really want you to be my wife.'
'But Dr. you always act weird just hearing her name. How do you think you could live with her without any accidents happening?' Akane asked
'Akane, I think I have the answer for that. I will visit Dr.Tofu for a couple of hours daily till he get used to being normal around me.'
'Does that mean you accept him?'
'I never said that. First, let me bring him to normalcy and let me see his true self. Then we will consult with our dad about this. Now if you think you
are ok then lets go home'
'umm kasumi. you go to home. i'll come later.'
'Going to look for Ranma, han. Ok But dont be late.'
'I can help you with that Akane. I saw him running down the bridge couple of hours earlier.' Dr.Tofu said
'Thanks dr. Kasumi you go now. and Dr.Tofu can i take some hot water?'
'Wow. The bridge is getting a notable position in our lives.' Akane said to herself and went to find him.
And as dr. had told her, the red-haired girl was sitting under the bridge throwing stones in the water.
'Ranma' Akane called out to him.
'Yeah. Why have you come here? I know my way home now go away'
'Ranma, you didnt even turn back to help me when i called you'
'so you came here to pick a fight. This is not the right time girl. get away from me'
'I sprained my leg'
'So now the 'uncute_tomboy' is 'uncute_limping_girl' han?' but he turned his head away.
'Stop hiding yourself Ranma. Dont act. You cannot fool me with your feelings any more. Now tell me why did you run away at the most important moment of our life?'

'I know i should have left you there. You know something Ranma, Kasumi is going to cure Dr.Tofu weirdness. She' gonna meet him daily to cure him.'
'Lets hope she succeeds.' At a distance, they saw a man dancing with a skeleton. 'Kasumi have a long way to go, i suppose.' Ranma told and they both smiled.
'Ranma, i have something to say. I am not sure if you could show your feelings more freely to me anymore. Atleast not for some time i suppose. But i really want you to know i will be always there for you no matter what. Just belive me and pour out your heart'
'Yes Akane. I know that. I have understood that.' They made their way to home with a clear heart.

MY RANMA FANFIC - 1

Ranma and Akane were on their way to school as usual bickering with each other. Suddenly Akane stopped when she heard the words "an uncute tomboy would never make a good wife". It was not Ranma shouting at her. She looked around to see who said that to her. She ran in the direction of the sound. Ranma didnot see her running back as he was trying desperately to get away from Shampoo who had been waiting for him. Akane was stunned when she heard that sentence again and noticed it came from a shop selling TVs. She found that there was a show going on and the sentence was from the show. some people were standing around and started commenting about it. "She could not get into his heart by showing her skin" said one. Another said "the only way to get into a man's heart is thru his stomach" and other said "instead of getting his heart she would end up getting his life if she continue to mallet him like that." Akane was thunderstruck. She was so sure that they had been talking about her. Suddenly she heard Ranma calling out to her. "Akane, where are you. Idiot." He found her standing near the shop and went to her. He had heard that dialog before but didnot react as it was not new to him. Akane's face was full of emotions. She was trying hard to control it which was about to erupt. She didnot know whether it was fear of not getting married or sorrow of knowing the truth or just plain anger. Ranma shut his lips tight seeing her face. He just said "Let's go to school. Its getting late." He turned and walked towards School behind Akane. to make sure she didnot run again. In school, it was a normal day for Ranma except for that Akane she was too quite. She avoided him purposely. But she tried to be normal with her other friends, her mind working on what she heard that morning. She tried to find out how her other girl friends were. She coined the game of Hobby listing. Some told reading books, embroidery, knitting, singing, and even cooking. When it came to Akane's turn a girl told, "Wait Akane, let's guess it. Uhm..... its Sparring. Aint I correct?" And everybody started laughing. Ranma listened to the whole thing and realised what had happened to her. She was fighting back her tears. Luckily the break was over by then. The rest of the day sped fast for everyone but Akane. Akane was some what relieved when she heard the bell of school closing. She ran fast out of the School with Ranma hot in pursuit. She stopped and said, "Ranma go away. I want some time for myself. Tell Kasumi I may be late for dinner." Ranma stood still without moving he had no intention of leaving Akane alone. But Akane still controlling her emotions with just tears in her eyes said, "GO AWAY." He started walking back and Akane started running. Ranma was sure she would not look back and started following her. He went to the dojo after seeing Akane sitting under the bridge and crying. He knows if he opened his mouth now it would end up even worse than this. At the Dojo he found Kasumi and told her everything right from hearing that dialog. Kasumi, "Oh God! I better go and console her. Poor thing. She needs someone right now." She started heading for the door. Ranma stopped her and said, "I want to be the one to console her Kasumi. She avoided me the whole day. Even when she spoke she didnt look into my eyes. I think I am the reason for her problem. She was afraid that I would .." He stopped in the middle
Kasumi " She thought you would not marry her. Is that what you wanted to say Ranma. I know you care for her. But are you sure you love her. You both seem to fight a lot."
Ranma "I fight her because i dont want my emotions to be seen by her at his time. I want to be out of this curse before I confess my feeling towards her. I know she loves me. We just dont want ourselves or others to know about it yet." He went towards the door as he poured cold water over him, but stopped by Kasumi. "I would like you to take this flask of hot water and this cookies for Akane." He thanked her and went to find Akane.

He thanked her and went to find Akane. She [Ranma] went and sat beside Akane whose eyes were swollen due to tears.
Ranma gave her the cookies and as Akane was so hungry she took it without a word. But started crying again as the cookies tasted so good and the fact that she could never make tasty cookies made her even sad.
Ranma, "Do you feel like talking to me Akane?"
In between her sobs, "I could never make such tasty cookies Ranma."
Ranma said , "At times it is not the taste but the effort and feeling put to making it is far more important." pouring hot water from the flask over him.
Akane was dumbfound. She didnot expect those words from Ranma. Although she knew he cares for her she never expected such words from him at all.
The sun was dipping into the water and it was a lovely sight with pleasant wind blowing, drying her tears. She had dreamt of such evenings of being with Ranma, but never thought it would happen. After a long silence she asked, "So if I cook, would you eat. It will take a long time before I cook a good food."
Ranma looking into her eyes, "Well, 'Life long' is a plenty of time for anybody to learn to cook tastily. Ofcourse, in the beginning days of our marriage, we may have to spend a lot on medical expenses. But eventually our children would be having a tasty meals, I hope."
Akane's face grew reddish red. She could not breathe. "Did he mean what he said?" "You always call me Uncute-tomboy-thick_waist. How could you possibly marry such a woman?, thinking he would really say he thinks her as a beautiful girl.
Ranma stood up and said,"Akane you know me. I dont lie." and started running to the dojo. Akane's face was still red but with anger. She shouted "Ranma, wait till I marry you. I'll torture you daily with my cooking. I better start from tonight." and started running after him. Ranma was relieved to see her back to herself and was smiling to himself as he heard what she said. " Yeah Akane, I love to be tortured by you" he thought.
But he shouted, "you better catch me first to torture me."
Kasumi was very happy when she saw both Ranma and Akane entering the house smiling.
She asked what happened. Both said, "Nothing."
Akane went to Kasumi and said, "Kasumi, i am sorry for worrying you. And I want to cook today." On that note everyone was shocked. "Hey, dont worry everyone, I want to cook for only one person. Kasumi, please make sure you cook a lot 'cause i am very hungry today." Kasumi went to kitchen and Ranma started to escape to Ukyo's for dinner. But Genma, Soun and even Happosai, sprang on him and tied him to a pillar.
Later, everyone was having a wonderful dinner. All that could be heard was praises for Kasumi and Ranma's pleads to Akane to stop choking him with her food. He was pleading for mercy. But Oh no!, he is not going to get any today.

SAKURA' COSTUME PARTY


Tititik Tititik Tititik .... The alarm was ringing at 6:30 in the morning.

'Hey Sakura, Sakura, Get up you sleepy head.' Khero was shouting

'Haaaaan Ikedo', Sakura called and hugged Khero tightly.

'Hey leave me you are choking me. Snap out of it' Khero yelled in her ears.

Out of shock she threw him away and he landed with swirling eyes in the bed. 'Tititik Tititik Tititik ....'

'Oh my God. I'm gonna be late.' She quietened the alarm and ran to get ready.

'Boy. Girls these days are sure strange.' Khero said getting up from the bed.

Downstairs, Toya was making breakfast.

Seeing her coming, 'I thought monsters would wake up late.'

'I am not monster' she tried to stamp his feet which he swiftly moved from the way. She gobbled the breakfast and ran out of the house. 'Its my duty today at school. See you in the evening, Toya'. She stopped suddenly and asked 'hey where' dad?'

'Atlast you noticed. He had to go early for a meeting. And today its your turn to make dinner. I'll be late after work. Off you go now.'

'See you' she skated through the lanes and slowed down near Ikedo' house as usual. But couldnt find him. She raced to school.

In the class, she found Lee doing his chores.

'Sorry I'm late Lee. Good Morning.'

'Hummm'

'Hey guys. Good Morning' Timoyo came in and went straight to Sakura took her hands in her and said 'Sakura i have made some more costumes for you would you come to try those today?'

'Sorry Timoyo. Its my turn to make dinner today. Is it okay for you to come to my place?'

'Ofcourse. But i made for Lee too. So could you come to sakura' place today Lee?'

'I dont need your costumes.'

'Be a sport Lee come to my house. We can all chat and have some fun'

Face turning red he said 'Okay'

After school at Sakura' residence all three gathered. Timoyo had arranged for the costumes to arrive at Sakura' place.

'Hey Timoyo. What do you think about this costume. I look cool nah' Khero asked

'you are always cool' Timoyo said and jumped up and down when she saw sakura in her costume. She had made a backpack too for the clow book attached to the dress. 'Sakura you look great' she shouted

'Yeah that's true. But why do you have to bring this brat here? He will look funny in any costume he wears'

Lee was going to punch Khero when he suddenly ran towards the window. Khero followed, 'I could sense a clow card. Sakura come on its this way' Everyone ran in the card' direction.

They heard someone laughing so badly without stop. Sakura was shocked when they neared the scene. Toya was laughing uncontrollably. The card in the girl' form was beside him.

'Oh no. Its the laugh card. Its dangerous. Whoever touches it would come under its spell'. Khero said.

'What do you mean Khero. Its just making him laugh.' Sakura asked

'It will make you laugh till you fall down dead.' Lee said

'Toya' Sakura cried. 'Think something soon sakura your brother is going crazy.' Khero said

Sakura was too stunned to do anything.

'Sakura control your emotions and concentrate' Khero urged.

Sakura was still sobbing. Lee came to her side and said, 'This is not the time for that. Lets do it together'

'Yes' Sakura said and thought for a moment. Then she opened the backpack and took out the Clow Book. She choose the card and said, 'Key that conceals the power of darkness reveal your true nature to me. Release.' The key transformed to the wand. Seeing her the Laugh Card ran to capture her too. But Sakura evaded her and Lee distracted it. Sakura came behind the Card without being noticed and she threw the card in her hand up and shouted, 'Mirror'. The Mirror card changed its form. Hearing the commotion behind it the Laugh Card turned to look directly at its image in the Mirror. 'Return to your true form' Sakura cried and captured the Laugh card.

Toya fell down as if exhausted. Sakura ran to him and saw him breething smoothly with eyes closed.

Sakura asked the Mirror card to take her form and accompany him to their house after he woke up.

Sakura and the others fled to home to finish their costume party and to prepare dinner.

Toya returned to his normal self and turned around to look at Mirror Card in Sakura' form. Without saying anything they started walking towards their house.

'Do you feel hungry?' Toya asked to her

'No'

'We have met before rite' Toya asked.

Mirror was silent.

'Where is Sakura?' Toya asked.

'At Home. Preparing Dinner'

'Come on. Lets go to a coffee shop.' Toya said to her

They reached home just at the moment when sakura finished preparing dinner and the others are leaving.

Sakura hid herself as she didnt want Toya to find out her secret.

Toya went directly to his room shouting towards the kitchen that he would want his dinner in 5min

Inside his room, 'Mom, take care of her' he said looking at his mother' photo

Sakura turned the Mirror back to the card and waited for her brother at the table thinking her secret is safe.

Toya came back and asked, 'When did u prepare this'

Sakura almost fell out of the chair. She didnt expect this question she didnt know what to say

Seeing her startled expression, Toya smiled to himself and asked innocently, 'Did that brat and your friend was here for that?'

'Y......e s' Sakura mumbled

'Did he find out what i am up to. Oh God he is so freeking me out' Sakura thought to herself.

The Scene in X Classroom
Subject : Science

The teacher was handing over the exams papers to all the students. When he went near Miaka, he had a sadist smile on his face and threw the paper on her desk. She had got the lowest mark ever.

He snarled, 'come to my office after school hours' and went to his chair. The class was dismissed soon.

The rest of the day was not bad as science class. Miaka excelled in every other subject

The bell rang informing the end of the day at school. Miaka went to the Teacher' Room to meet Mr.Takahashi

''Ohhhh! Look whos come' he cried sarcastically

''Now now Miaka dear, what happened to you. Why such low marks? I heard you get highest mark in all the other subjects. What happened to Science then? Dont you like my subject?' he passed for a moment efore continuing, 'Or me?' and let out a big scary laughter she remained silent not seeing him

He came close to her and lifted her chin, 'Look at me. Let me see your tears. Oh no the stone face as usual not reaction at all. Maybe i should tell your parents that you have got the last mark in your exam and its not possible to let to write ur board exams this year'

She looked at him with fear in her eyes

'Now thats the expression i was expecting. Plead me, beg me and cry in front of the whole class then i may consider to give permission for the boards.' He said moving towards the school gate

She waited till he was gone and the tears came gushing out of her eyes.

Hajime jumped down from the tree outside the teacher' room.

She looked at him but said nothing.

'U know i am in ur class dont u?' he asked

'Yes'

'I always wondered why u get low marks inspite of teaching to everyone' he asked

' '

'u r not gonna get anything for keeping ur mouth shut. just tell me. u dont seem to have anyone to talk to either. i havent seen any girls talking to u'

At that she broke down and started to tell him,'no one is speaking to me because if they do they would be failed too. This started last year when i corrected our sensei in a class. But he took it as if i am making fun of him in front of whole class and he started to act weird but i didnt understand at first but then he would come during exams and borrow my pen or make excuse and make me stand outside the exams hall atleast for half an hour so that i couldnt finish the test. But and threathed me that if i said anything to anyone he would fail that person too. i have been going thru this for over a year now.' she sobbed

'So thats why u always fail in his subject.'

'Pardon me for breaking down like this. I have to go now' she ran away

[Hajime is her classmate and his attitude made him sit in the first bench where all the teachers can have an eye on him. **He is like Natsumi**]

Next day in the Science class, as soon as the sensei entered he asked Miaka to stand up and started to teach his lesson. Miaka was feeling embarrased and didnt know what to do. Then suddenly she went to the sensei and pleaded to give her permission to write her boards. The sensei went to his chair

'I didnt hear what u said make it loud and say it from there' he said

Miaka couldnt take anymore.

She was about to shed tears when Hajime stood and said,

'Sensei i didnt understand the part u were just teaching can u explain it once again'

Mr.Takahashi glared at him. "why this brat have to intervene" he thought

'I'll explain u later let me first hear what Ms.Knowitall want from me'

'u already heard what she wanted to tell u. infact everyone in the class would have heard her. now stop acting and get on with the class' Hajime said

Sensei was totally angry with the boy

'Now i get it why Miaka is getting low marks. she wouldnt have time to read because she have to hang out with her boyfriend en?' he snarled

Miaka was horrified everyone in the class went silent at that remark.

'Tomorrow i am going to talk to the principal and make sure that you dont write ur boards here or in any other school' he stormed out of the class.

The bell rang but Miaka was in no condition to attend the class so she ran out of the class to the nurse room. Hajime followed her.

'Hey stop. u'll fall down at this rate' he shouted

Miaka stopped but didnt look at him

'Dont worry he cant talk to the principal tomorrow. I heard the principal has gone on a personal leave for a week. so dont worry things will cool down by then. stop worrying' he said

Miaka looked at him as if relieved a bit.

They heard a clik then. They turned around to see Mr.Takahashi taking their snaps with his mobile cam.

He laughed uncontrollably and showed them the pic and said, 'well i changed plans. i am going to tell ur parents abt ur marks but i think i have more to talk to them. I cornered u Miaka. You are almost dead. I know ur parents have high value for education and i am going to put an end to ur studies once and for all. This is my best day ever.' He went away

Miaka shouted her heart out for the first time.

Hajime didnt know what to say.

'errr, Miaka, your parents wouldnt believe him so dont worry'

'I am doomed. I am doomed for life. My parents do believe me. But low marks and pics would definitely have effects on them. I really dont know what do to. I wish he never existed' she cried

He paused for a moment and told

'Then try Hell Correspondence. I heard ur grude will be taken care by them'

Miaka looked at him but he was already going back to the class

Miaka went to her home straight from the nurse' office with permission.

Her parents had gone to work and they have been extending their shifts the whole week. She didnt feel like eating at all. By 8 in the nite the phone rang. But she was so out of space that she couldnt react at all. It went tothe answer mode and Mr.Takahashi' voice was heard.

'I am Mr.Takahashi, Miaka' science sensei and i want to talk to u abt ur daughter' actions'

Miaka couldnt take this any longer. She started writing everything that had happened to her in a note and left it at her parent' room. Then by 11.30 she started to try Hell correspondence.

She entered his name in the site by 12 and fell asleep

Next day morning, she was awoken by her mother. She led Miaka to the living room and asked the explanation for the phone call by Mr.Takahashi. Miaka told them what had happened.

Why didnt u tell us before?' her dad asked

'I never thought this would become serious. But this time he failed me and threatened me i wont be able to write my boards'

'We believe u. but next time make sure u tell us everything beforehand.' dad said

'yes dad. thanks dad' she hugged them

They met Mr.Takahashi and talked but they didnt believed what he told.

Angered by her parents' non reaction Mr.Takahashi became more openly violent and he sent that pic to the principal and every other teacher in the school.

Unlucky for her, the principal came the next day and called her straight to his room and bombarded her for her behaviour. He too accepted that she wouldnt be able to write the boards if she continued to behave like that. and he didnt give her a chance to explain.

She couldnt take more and ran to the rest room crying.

In the mirror, she saw a girl' image

'I am Enma Ai. U called me?' the girl asked

'U r the girl from hell'

'Yes. Take this doll when u r sure u want to take vengence remove the thread. We will take revenge for u but for a compensation. When a revenge is taken, 2 graves are dug. The recipient will be ferried to the hell but u will go the hell too after ur death'

'..to he..ll' Miaka stumbled. The girl vanished.

Mr.Takahashi was alone in the teachers' room when he suddenly saw himself writing an exams.

'What the heck is this. why am i in the exam hall' he thought

'What Mr.Takahashi why are u sitting still this is our chance to get into the college prof roles. This exam is our ticket to our promotion. write quickly' he was told by his collegue sitting next to him.

'Hey u' he saw an old man shouting to Mr.Takahashi, 'stop dreaming and write ur exam. but then i dont like u so why sh i let u write the exam.' He came near and took away his pen and papers.

'I dont get it what is this' he screamed

'Confess ur sins.' he heard a voice.

'I havent done anything wrong to confess.'

'Didnt u did what just happened to u to ur student?'

In the class, Hajime told Miaka that Mr.Takahashi is missing.

'I know' she told and went to the rest room. she saw a mark in her chest.

KAORU'S BIRTHDAY


Kenshin was busy cleaning the dishes. A gentle breeze blew thru the window making him remember Kaoru for unknown reason. He could see her cleaning the backyard. The breeze blew her long hair gently and Kenshin thought they were dancing and waving at him. He absent-mindedly waved back at them.

"Who are you waving to?" Yahiko enter the kitchen

Kenshin quickly came to his senses and said, "not waving, yahiko just warding off these houseflies"

"Yeah right," Yahiko eyed him suspiciously looking out of window but said nothing and went away stuffing his mouth with the snacks Kenshin had prepared.

Kenshin returned to gaze at Kaoru. "Boy! she is beautiful. This kimono expresses her beauty more clearly.

"Baka, you shnt be thinking of kaoru-dono like that"

Kenshin stopped himself and turned away only to turn back and smiled at the undefying beauty of kaoru. Shes not only beautiful but brave and kind hearted too. But for her i would still be a Battousai. Its only because of her that i live a good life and have friends. But what have I done to her in return. "Yes, I take care of her home but is that enough to return her kindness. I want to give her something which she would have through out her life. But what is it?"

Kenshin was thinking hard not even noticing Tae entering the kitchen. She caught him staring at Kaoru and disturbed him.

"If you want to see her I can call her here" Tae said

Blusing and regaining himself, Kenshin said, "Oh, Miss Tae, I didnt notice you coming in"

"You probably couldnt have and I dont blame you" Tae said grinning

"What made you come here Ms.Tae" Kenshin asked

"nothing in particular. I was passing by and I wanted some water to drink. I saw none at the gate so I entered kitchen thinking you might be here"

"Here Miss.Tae" Kenshin handed her a glass of water

after drinking it, Tae said, "if you really like her why dont you say her so?"

"What Miss.Tae?"

"you were gazing at her for full five minutes when I entered"

"I was thinking about her kindness, Miss Tae. But for her I wouldnt be having a good life. I want to return her kindness."

"If you want to return her kindness why dont you make her happy by marrying her?"

Kenshin lowered his head and said,"I am not worthy for her and please dont say such things again."

"But she likes you kenshin. Don't you see it?"

"Please Miss.Tae if you have any other idea I would welcome it. else, I have chores to do."

"I will take leave then. But dont forget what I said and her birthday is two weeks from today. Hope you could give her what she wants."

"Thanks for the information, Miss Tae."

After that Tae left.

"Two weeks from today, han? I can make some cash to get her some presents." Kenshin thought

Next day, after Kaoru left for her student", place for some special training, Kenshin quickly found Yahiko and told him that he had to go out and will be late for dinner and asked him to inform Kaoru. Later in the evening, Kaoru came in looking tired.

"Kenshin", she called out.

Yahiko came out and informed her about Kenshin. Kaoru felt pain, where is he gone now. what happened to him. She quickly refreshed herself and sat at the dojo steps waiting for him.

Kenshin came in by the dinner time and saw Kaoru sleeping at the dojo steps. Yahiko came out seeing him and told she slept waiting for him.

Kenshin carried her to the kitchen and woke her up. She woke up and simply hugged Kenshin tightly. Kenshin was choking

Suddenly she realised what she was doing and hit kenshin so hard that he went flying to the wall with his "oroooooo."

"How dare you hugged me Kenshin," Kaoru shouted regaining from embarrassment

"It was you who choked him, ugly," Yahiko snapped back

"No I did not," Kaoru came down on Yahiko. But he dogged her attack and shouted, "you did, you did, you did. Poor Kenshin" running away from the kitchen

She started to chase him. As this was the usual scene kenshin brought himself to stand up and started to arrange for dinner which he had brought along with him.

Then he called out to them for dinner. They both came in bickering and was surprised to see the dinner.

"You just came in. How did you do it so fast?" Kaoru exclaimed.

"No Kaoru-dono. I bought it from Akabeko."

"And where did you get the money from?"

"I was about to tell you Miss Kaoru. But first finish off the dinner. Its getting cold"

Kaoru didn't protest. She didnt have anything since afternoon and she was hungry like a wolf. She stuffed the food just like Yahiko. Both ate the dinner silently. After dinner, Yahiko went to sleep. Kaoru stayed with Kenshin to help him clean the kitchen.

Kenshin started, "Kaoru-dono, I got a job."

"Huh?"

"I got a job at Akabeko"

"Why do you want a job Kenshin. Aren't you satisfied here?"

"Its not that Kaoru-dono. I wanted some money."

Kaoru looked at him deeply. "Oh God what have I said."

Kenshin thought and said, "Actually I want to go outside and have a normal life Kaoru-dono just like other men. Only men of the family work and earn right?"

She remained silent

"Did I do anything wrong Kaoru-dono?"

"No Kenshin as long as you stay with me and be happy, I don't have anything to say. But just dont strain yourself."

"I am doing just fine Kaoru-dono. Its the routine job. Cooking, I mean. But I have a favor to ask."

"Yes Kenshin."

"Can you take care of the laundry please. I will do our breakfast and some snacks in the morning and for dinner I have arranged with Tae till I work there they could provide us food and they could deduct from my salary. Only laundry is left out."

"Dont worry Kenshin. Yahiko and I will take care of it."

"Thanks Kaoru-dono. you go to bed you look terribly tired."

"So do you. Good night Kenshin"

"Yes, Kaoru-dono. Good Night."

Two weeks passed and Kaoru and Kenshin hardly saw each other. Kaoru took up extra classes to forget his absence. They would have only breakfast and dinner together but in silence. Kaoru's birthday came. Kenshin went to his job as usual without wishing her and Kaoru paced the floor as she while trying to console herself.

"He doesn't know your birthdate, you baka!"

Her other mind said, "He should be knowing it rite. what is a man who wouldnt know his woman's birthday. But I am not his woman yet."

Kaoru couldn't take all the bickering in her head. She suddenly shouted,

"Arrrgghh!!! Just stop it you two and let me concentrate on my work!"

With that, the frustrated young girl ran out of the dojo to her student's house.

Yahiko, who was doing laundry looked over to his teacher and grumbled.

"Ugly girl. Why do I have to do I have to do all the work. It's really cruel making me do all the dirty laundry these days."

Evening came. Kaoru got home early as she was dead tired and found Kenshin in the kitchen.

"What are you doing here kenshin. Dont you have work in the evening today?"

"No Kaoru-dono. I quit the job"

"What? Why did you do that?"

"I got what I wanted so I quit the job"

"I don't understand, Kenshin. Are you ok with it?"

Kenshin smiled at her and her pain was all gone at that moment.

"Hai kaoru-dono. Tae said I can join back whenever I want. And also I ran into Saito today and he was too willing to offer me an assignment to work with him, but he said that because he would get an opportunity to fight with me. Dont worry about my job kaoru-dono. I can decide about that later."

He came a little bit closer.

"Are you free now kaoru-dono?"

"Hai, Kenshin."

"Would you come out with me?"

"Han? what? I didnt hear it clearly."

"I asked if you could come with me, kaoru-dono"

"Kaoru-dono again. When is he going to call me dear," Kaoru thought

"If I am Kaoru-dono to you then I am not coming," she said smiling.

He went out of kitchen without saying anything.

"Oh boy. now I blew it. Baka Kaoru. Its a very big thing he asked you out. why couldnt you keep your mouth shut. now its not going to happen at all," Kaoru was scolding herself when kenshin re-entered kitchen.

"Gomen Kenshin" kaoru started but stopped in the middle as kenshin held out a package to her.

"I bought this for you, Kaoru-dono."

"dono or no. I am bouncing now," Kaoru thought.

She took it from him and opened it to see a beautiful violet color kimono.

He continued. "I would like you to wear this when we are going out"

"I didnt say yes till now kenshin" Kaoru reminded

"I know the answer kaoru-dono" He smiled

"Oh boy was it so obvious, am I drooling all over" she thought going red.

She came out quickly than expected and she was looking gorgeous.

"Well, what do you think kenshin. everything went well at the first try itself so I am not late, I think"

He couldnt talk. she looked sooooo beautiful.

"Kenshin. I am waiting for your reply".

"Hai Kaoru-dono you look good".

"good han?" "what else can I expect from him" kaoru thought. letting out a deep sigh, "can we start kenshin. what about yahiko?"

Sano came and took him to Akabeko.

"Wow you plan well kenshin"

"Lets start kaoru-dono" he said grabbing her hand for the first time.

Kaoru couldnt move then seeing her expression, he let her hand go.

Kaoru scolded herself once again. "you baka kaoru. why do you have to act like that now he is never going to hold your hand again"

"Shall we start kaoru-dono" Kenshin asked again

"Hai kenshin" kaoru followed him.

They went to the lake and kenshin picked her some nice flowers. "My birthday couldnt get better" kaoru thought

They sat under a tree and a little bird perched on kenshin" fingers. They were very happy at that moment. they had their snacks and walked along the shore for some time.

when it was their time to return, kaoru suddenly hugged him and said,

"Arigatou kenshin. I would never forget this day in my life ever"

"To tell you the truth Kaoru-dono, Tae helped my plan this day. I am glad you r happy." and tried to release himself from the hug.

"Can we be like this a little longer kenshin" Kaoru asked as if pleading

Kenshin hugged her even more closely and told, "i want to be like this forever, Kaoru dear"

Kaoru was shocked. She pushed him back saw his face intently and smiled.

"Is this Tae" plan too?"

"No dear. I can express my love myself"

They hugged once again When released Kenshin said, "Happy birthday dear"

Kaoru said, "Its really a happy birthday darling. Thanks. I would never ever forget this birthday."

They started towards the dojo holding hands under the beautiful moonlight.

Kaoru thought, "This day couldnt get better. I am so happy".

DUEL FOR KAORU

It was a normal evening at the Kamiya dojo. Everyone shouting at the top of their voices with Kenshin as their spectator. Their voices were hushed with the opening of the dojo gate. A tall man with samurai clothes and a sword entered.

"Hey there, what do you want?" Sano asked

"I was just passing by and I am very thirsty. Can I get some water?" the stranger asked.

"Please come in. Can we know your name?" Kenshin asked

"I am Hosuke Kechiro. I am a wanderer samurai."

Everyone stared at Kenshin. Kenshin smiled to himself and welcomed Kechiro. Kaoru was standing still and not moving. Kenshin saw her face going all red. She was staring at Kechiro. It hurt him but put on a smile and took Kechiro in and offered him tea. Kechiro saw Kaoru staring at him and went to her. She panicked and without knowing what she was saying she said, "I am the owner of this dojo, Kamiya Kaoru" still red in face.

Kenshin" smile faded away.

Kechiro took Kaoru" hand and said "you are gorgeous Miss Kamiya. Would you honor me by being my guide in this city. I am new here and i want to see nice places."

Kaoru immediately agreed, "I would be glad to and please call me Kaoru."

Sano and Yahiko looked at each other and at Kenshin who was starting to show emotions on his face and it was not good.

After tea, Kaoru called Kenshin to kitchen for a moment.

"Kenshin" she said, "I will be back before dinner"

"Yes Miss Kaoru. I will get the dinner ready as usual." Kenshin said

"No Kenshin. Not as usual. I want it to be special. This would be a wonderful night for me. Please prepare dinner for Kechiro too."

Kenshin bent his head and shook without looking at her.

"Good bye Kenshin. I will start now. He is waiting for me." Kaoru left kitchen.

She heard a bang when she was at the dojo gates with Kechiro.

Sano and Yahiko went to kitchen and saw Kenshin turning to Battousai.

Sano grabed his sword and said, "Wait Kenshin, dont take drastic step. Let me and Yahiko follow them and report to you what they are upto. Wait here till I come. Believe me, I will not allow anything go wrong."

"I will wait for an hour before you come. If you didnot arrive here within an hour I will kill Kechiro." Kenshin said.

Kaoru and Kechiro went directly to Megumi"s clinic. As soon as they entered the gates, Kaoru started to laugh uncontrollably.

"Now, now, stop that tanuki." Megumi said in Kechiro" clothes.

I still dont understand why didnt Kenshin see you through your disguise." Kaoru asked.

"You idiot. Isnt that obvious? His jealousy blurred his mind. I guess I lost my chance to you. But dont think I will quit."

Kaoru was annoyed.

But said, "Thank you Megumi for acting with me. This is the only chance to make him confess his love for me or to know if he ever loves me" and in a grave voice said, "I will not give you any chance either."

"So this was all a drama. I see." Yahiko said. Sano nudged him. "Stop that you fool. you will give us away."

But their voices could not be kept down even by themselves. The girls heard them and pulled them out of their hiding place.

Megumi told Sano, "This is all for a good cause. So keep your mouth shut and Kaoru would pay your Akabeko" bill for a week."

"Why should I pay for him?"

"Because he is doing this for you"

"Then I guess I should bear it."

"Hey what about me. What am i going to get for keeping my mouth shut?" Yahiko asked

"You will get a big whack if you opened your mouth."

"I am going to tell Kenshin about you three." He started running.

"Oh no. you dont." Megumi stopped him, "because if you tell Tsubame will not talk to you for ever. She knows our plan and if it fails because of you, then you can imagine the consequences. so do you want to tell Kenshin about this?"

"No. I will let Kenshin write his own death sentence. I really dont understand why would he be jealous for this ugly. Anyway if Kenshin is happy everything is alright."

Sano and Yahiko came to the dojo just before the completion of their time. Kenshin was waiting for them at the gates. "What happened Sano? Where are they?" Kenshin asked

"Lets go inside Kenshin. Nothing wrong is going on between them. They are just roaming here and there." Sano replied and went inside.

After a brief silence, Yahiko said, "even if something is going on why do you bother Kenshin. You are not in love with her, are you?

Sano said, "Dont be a fool, Yahiko. If he is, then he would have told her long ago. They are just good friends, isnt that right, Kenshin?"

Kenshin sat on the dojo steps and remained silent.

Just before dinner, Kaoru and Kechiro entered holding hands. "Kaoru seems to be happy" Kenshin thought.

"Kenshin, is the dinner ready?" She asked.

Kenshin stepped in front of them glared her and pointing his sword at Kechiro he said, "I want a duel with you."

Everyone was alarmed seeing his eyes. Kechiro trying to be calm asked, "and why would you want a duel?"

"Kaoru is my woman and I would not allow anyone near her" Kenshin said.

"Are you sure about what you said Kenshin". Kechiro asked in Megumi" voice."If so, then my part is over in this drama."

Kenshin could not understand anything for a moment. Then turning to Kaoru he asked, "are you behind this?"

"Yes Kenshin"

"You could have asked me"

"In how many methods had I expressed myself and what was your expression? I waited for a long time Kenshin. Though we both know we love eachother, somethings had to be told explicitly Kenshin. I wanted to hear what you told now and I am so happy at this moment."

"Everything ended well then. What's for dinner, Kenshin" Sano asked.

"I didnt make dinner. I couldn't make it for my rival"

"you could have prepared for us you fool" sano punched him, "what a waste of my acting"

"Who said you acted, you rooster head. come on now, lets go to Tae"." Megumi grabed Sano and Yahiko and went on her way to Tae"s. "See you guys tomorrow." They all left.

After they went Kenshin and Kaoru drowned themselves in eachother" eyes for aong time and had their first kiss. It was broken by a growl from Koaru" stomach. Kenshin smiled and started to go to kitchen. She stopped him and said, "Its okay Kenshin. I can bear it tonight. I really dont feel like eating. As I told earlier its a wonderful night."

"I wont be hungry tonight. I have my dinner." Kenshin said

"Where"

"You are" Kenshin came towards her with a romantic smile.

"Oh no Mister. Now its your turn to wait. I told you somethings are to be said explictly. I fogot a word. "to everyone". Arrange for our engagement rings and for our marriage. Then you will get what you wanted. Till then "Sweet Dreams Kenshin"."

Kaoru ran to her room gigling. In her room, "Kami sama, thank you for making me meet Kenshin"

she said and fell to her futon with lots of dreams about Kenshin.

BATTOUSAI TO KENSHIN

It was a breezy evening and Kaoru was busy preparing the menu for her customers. She ran the popular "KAMIYA KITCHEN". She had learn the art of cooking from her best friend Tae and after Tae had moved to Kyoto, Karou established KAMIYA KITCHEN with the help of her brothers Sano [Elder] and Yahiko [Younger]The two brothers are more of a bother to her in the kitchen. The customers' order would end up on their heads instead of on their tables. It was becoming too much of a bother to karou that she called her two friends, Megumi and Tsubami, to help her out. After the girls came to the kitchen, the boys tried to get in to their good books and so Kaoru' problem was greatly solved.

Suddenly, Kaoru involantarily, peeped out of window whenthe time struck 6.00 p.m. Yahiko, Sano and the girls spied on her and giggled. She has been doing this for the past one month now, and just as she was seeing through the window, a young man with cold eyes and matching red hair and crossed cheek passed by.

Sano : He is so cold, ooopsssssss, i mean cool ne sis

Karou : en? what? who are you talking about?

Yahiko : We all know who he is talking about.

Kaoru [going red] : na, I dont know who you are talking about

Megumi : Sano baka, dont you get it. Shes telling the truth. She really dont know anything about that person, except that she likes to watch him all the time. right kaoru?

[Now Karou is all red] Everyone laughs and Kaoru chases Megumi.

Megumi : [shouts while running around the kitchen] Hey Sano, go and collect info about the cooly cold person for your sis.

Kaoru stops abruptly as she saw 'the subject' entering the KAMIYA KITCHEN. Everyone roared with laughter even Tsubami nugged Karou. Karou ran into the Kitchen.

Megumi : [pulls Sano by his ear and whispers] Sano, now is the chance, collect the info about him. Go, talk to him.

Sano receives the young man and guides him to usual remote corner table.

Sano : hey there buddy, seeing you often here lately. Are you new here?

Young Man : Yes

Sano : So, where are you from?

YM : Kyoto

Sano : Wow Kyoto. Just recently, our friend moved there

YM : " "

Sano : So whats your name?

YM : Could you take the order?

Sano : thats a weird name. A long one too.

YM glares at Sano and started to leave the table. Sano pushes him back to the seat and was schoked to see the man clutching his sword tightly about to draw it out.

Sano : hey man, cool cool. was just trying to make you more comfortable. I'll take the order now.

Sano takes the order and brings it to him

Sano : feel free to ask for more

YM looks up at Sano and starts eating.

Sano : you like it?

YM nods

Sano : My sis made it. Shes a very good cook

YM : I can see that. Thats' why i come here often and dont bother me asking question including my menu. It will be like today always.

Sano : Sure man. Make yourself comfortable. I'll say to my sis, you liked her cooking

YM continues eating without any response. Finishes eating, pays the bill to Megumi whos sitting in the counter and walks out of the kitchen.

Sano calls to him : hey man. Tell me your name. Its weird calling u 'hey man' all the time.

YM : Himura. Himura Kenshin.

Sano : Ok Kenshin. cya tomorrow.

YM : I prefer to be called Himura-san by strangers. [walks off]

Sano : What a weird cold guy?!! I am no way taking his orders again. Yahiko, you and Tsubami take care of him from tomorrow.

Yahiko : No way. I wont even go near him

Kaoru who was listening to the whole conversation came near Sano and others.

Kaoru : I will take care of him myself, Sano

Megume : Oooooooooooo.......

Kaoru goes red again. The day ended with Kaoru and Megumi chasing eachother.

The next day at 6.00 p.m. Himura Kenshin appears at the KITCHEN and Sano avoiding him. He went to his usual corner table and waited for someone to take his order. As it took time, he pulled his chair closer to the window and started to watch the outside world. Suddenly a sweet fragrance made him turn back and he almost fell off the chair. Kaoru was standing there with his usual order. She was looking stunningly gorgeous in that meroune kimono with big bright yellow flowers in it.

Kaoru : Good Evening, Mr.Himura. Hope u had a good day today.

Himura : Hai. Thanks for asking [without even looking at her face, and starts to eat]

Kaoru was disappointed and it was shown in her face

Kaoru : Please call me if u need anything else. I am Kamiya Kaoru. She waited for a response but getting none, she moved away.

As usual Himura paid his bill and left the KITCHEN.

Megumi : [coming neat Kaoru] Hes one heck of a cold guy. Never seen anyone like him. Dont get upset Kaoru.

Sano : I dont get why u have to like him in the first place.

Yahiko : Yea me too.

Kaoru : I am not upset at all Megumi. Infact I am happy. I got to talk with him and he did respond politely. He is not cold. Hes just acting to be one. I am sure hes got a very sad past that he want to forget. Thats the reason hes acting the way he is.

Sano : His past has nothing to do with us. Then why do he have to be like this to us.

Kaoru : Sano Sano Sano, Dont u get it? He feels insecured everywhere around him. and i am determined to change him

Sano : Whatever. We are here if u need any help sis, but i really like to fight him. It has been long time since i had a good fight. Let me see if his sword can cut me. [punches his right hand into his left]

Kaoru : You didnt notice it, did u? His sword is a reversed edged one. He cant kill anyone with that. and thats why i am damn sure that he has got a tortured past. I have seen him smile and play with children in the remote area of the lakeside. He also teaches them the basic sword fights. He was feeling very happy then. That was the first time i fell for him. Ohhhhh hes so kawai when hes smiling. [Kaoru folder her hands under her chin and started shifting from side to side]

Megumi : [went near Kaoru] here take this hanky and stop drooling now.

Kaoru going all red, chases Megumi again.

Sano suddently started towards the gate. Megumi called to him

Megumi : Hey Sano, where are you going?

Sano : I suddenly remembered something about your Red Cross Man

Kaoru : Red-Cross Man?

Sano : Red haired, cross cheeked

Megumi : ah i see.

Kaoru : You better call him by his name or you may have to face consequences.

Sano : will see about that. going to see Tsukioka. Have something to clarify.

Sano stepped out to visit his friend Tsukioka whos a journalist.

Kaoru : I too have to go to the market to get some Tofu. Bye guys and Megumi take care of the KITCHEN.

Sano returned from his friend' place to see Himura paying off his bill and he stepped out with him and put his Zansa infront of Himura. Himura looked at him questioningly

Sano : Battousai Himura! You cannot hide now. Come and fight me.

Yahiko : Hey Sano do you think you are doing? There are customers here.

Sano : Lets do in in the riverside. and Yahiko dont open your mouth in front of Kaoru. Megumi keep the medicines ready.

Himura : [stepping aside] I dont fight unneccesarily

Sano : [swinging his zansa], You have got to fight.

Himura swiftly avoided it by jumping above the zansa. Sano, tried once more and Himura have to protect himself with his sword. The fight started just outside the KITCHEN itself befoe they realised it. They continued this for about an hour till they finally fall down exhausted. Both have cuts and briuses all over them though not serious.

Sano : [panting] thanks buddy. that was a good fight.

Himura : [stared at him going red] So you found out my past.

Kaoru just entered the scene and was horrifid to see both of them in such a state. She immediately ran towards them as Sano was already taken care by Megumi she went to Himura. But Himura wouldnt let her take care of his wounds. She forced him to sit and yelled at Yahiko for medicines.

Himura : Thank you Ms.Kamiya, you are so kind. I apoogise for the damage caused here and i wont come here again. But may be you wont let me here after knowing my past.

Kaoru : Baka Kenshin. Your past has nothing to do with me. And you are not going anywhere till your wounds are healed.
[Himura was taken aback hearing his name.] [Turning to Sano angrily], what happened here?

Sano : Nothing sis. just fight between powers. And yes Mr.Himura, you are welcome to stay here. your past has nothing to do with anyone here. I just wanted to have a good fight with you after hearing your legend and i also heard that you left your Battousai ways to be a rouroni. Well you can join our family, if you like that is.

Megumi : Actually you have no other choice. You have to work with us till you repay for all the damages you have caused us. You both have scared all our customers away. and there is damage to the walls. So till everything is back to normal you have to be here Ken-san.

Himura [sweat drops][thinks to himself] "arent they afraid of me. Everyone treats me as though they have known me for long. One calls me baka another ken-san and other comes after to fight me. But the weird thing is i am not at all tensed now i feel relaxed and calm and there is no feeling of insecurity. "

Kenshin : Hai. I will work here till i settled the damages. I can do a little bit of laundry and cooking.

Kaoru : Well, you dont have to think about your chores till you get better. Now, Yahiko, take him to the room next to dojo. [turning to Kenshin] You can relax there.

A couple of days passed by. Himura starts to like his new surrounding. Sano and Yahiko grabs whatever opportunity they get to spar with him. Kaoru was having hard time getting off Megumi from him. Dr.Genzai had come in to visit the Kamiya family and told that Himura would get better in few days. His grand daughters grew more friendly with him. Himura said to himself, "so this is family". He became very soft and very calm. Everyone made him feel secure and he almost suddenly became a new guy. He felt miserable and cold only when he think about his past. But everyone made sure that he was not left alone and so he rarely kindled his past. He also fought with himself not to think about his past.

Himura got better and went to meet Kaoru whos busy preparing meals for her customers in the kitchen.

Himura : Miss.Kamiya

Kaoru : Hai Himura San.

Himura : ummm.. I am feeling better now. so i would like to work here to compensate the damages.

Kaoru : [looked at him for a moment], your wish Mr.Himura. What would you like to do?

Himura : I am good in cooking and i can do laundry too

Kaoru looked at him in surprise. Himura continued, seeing her expression

Himura : had to learn when i become a ruronin

Koaru : You can prepare today' dinner us. Now you can take care of laundry.
she said smiling

Himura : Hai. Thank you Ms.Kamiya. [he returned her smile]

Kaoru : and you can call me Kaoru just like others

Himura : Hai Kaoru-dono

He went to take care of the laundry. He saw Yahiko practising his sword. Sano was loitering around and when he saw Himura, he came towards him and enquired about his health.

Sano : Hi there Mr.Himura. how are you today?

Himura : I am fine Sano and please call me Kenshin.

Sano had a broad smile and said,

Sano : Ofcourse Kenshin

and went out of the KITCHEN.

Later in the evening, Kenshin, set table for the dinner and called everyone. Dinner was served and everyone was dumb-founded.

Yahiko : How in the world was i eating the food made by Koaru all these days. now this is called food.

Kaoru : [too was busy enjoying the taste] en? what did you say? you are the one who fight with sano to gobble the last bowl everyday. Now you find a better cook, and you insult me. [she searches for a stick to hit him]

Sano : [unconcerned about whats going on around] hey Kenshin, another bowl please.

Kenshin : Here you go Sano.

Yahiko quickly grabs it and stuffs his face. Now Sano and Yahiko starts fighting.

Kaoru : [shouts] KENSHIN, HOW IN THE WORLD COULD YOU COOK BETTER THAN ME?

Kenshin : [slightly blushes] Kaoru-dono, i have been cooking for myself for the past 10 years.

Kaoru : [grabs him by his gi and shakes him thoroughly] YOU COOK BETTER THAN ME!!!!!

Kenshin : [now thoroughly shaken, sweat drops]

Sano : dont be surprised or shocked Kenshin. This is our real Kaoru. Shes a master in Kamiya Sword Style and was a sensei but had to quit because we wanted to do something for our living and the sword lessons arent paying much.

Kaoru : [was stuffing her face too] i have a plan everyone. [she said suddenly]

Everyone just stared at her.

Kaoru : I better leave the KITCHEN and the laundry to Kenshin and i am going back to my teachings

Yahiko : The best suggestion you have ever said. [got a bloody glare from kaoru]

Sano : Nice plan sis. Hey Kenshin, you agree?

Kenshin : umm.. I am here only till i pay off the damages. so i cant accept your offer Kaoru-dono. But thanks.

Kaoru : [now very mad] you are leaving nowhere till i say so.

Kenshin : [shocked to see such an expression] Ha.. Hai Kaoru-dono.

Kaoru : [with sweet smile] good. now thats settled, i have got to clean the dojo. Yahiko you have to do it.

Yahiko : Why me? I am not gonna listen to you. If you want then do it yourself.

Kaoru : Ok then. I will ask Tsubami to help me.

Yahiko : [going a slight red] I will do it. [not raising his head from the bowl]

A week later, everyone was busy in their own chores. Kenshin in kitchen, Kaoru and Yahiko giving lessons to the new students, Sano,Tsubami and Megumi taking care of the customers. It was getting dark early that day and there were very few customers. Suddnely, Kenshin became very stiff. He felt something very uncomfortable, as if some evil is coming their way. He ran outside and was shocked to see the persons entering the KITCHEN. Kenshin was so shocked and he struggled so hard not to let Battousai out.

Sano felt the mixed aura and came out too. Suddenly hearing lot of voices made Kaour and Yahiko stop their lessons too. Everyone gathered to find a group entering the KITCHEN. It was led by a man resembling MUMMY. He was all in bandages from head to toe. He had an evilish grin and a long pipe smoking. Accompanying him was a sensuous lady in beautiful Kimono followed by many others. Everyone seemed not like a normal human being. The group was being followed by another creepy looking police officer. The next group was very noisy being led by one enthusiastic girl shouting at the top of her voice and a crappy old man followed by a very sober looking handsome guy.

Kaoru was very happy to see so many customers at a time. But Kenshin' reaction was pretty serious. Kaoru was the first one to see his reaction. She ran to him and pulled him in to the kitchen.

Kaoru : What is the problem Kenshin?

Kenshin : They .... they are very dangerous people except for the last group.

Kaoru : Do you know them?

Kenshin : Yes. I have fought with every one of them

Kaoru : Do you think they have come to take revenge.

Kenshin : Yes

Kaoru : [started to laugh uncontrollably] Baka Kenshin. You might have fought with them, but they are very nice people. They are my customers for ages now. Once in a while, they drop in to have a get-together. And they have always mentioned that they couldnt contact one person, every year. That must be you. How happy they would be when they see you.

They came out to see Sano and Yahiko greeting everyone. Sano went straight to the big guy. The enthusiastic girl, a ninja, Misao, leaped towards Kaoru and hugged her tightly. Everyone were hugging, shaking hands, and shouting at top of their voices. The customers just ran away from the KITCHEN seeing this weird gang.

After the greetings, they all filled the KITCHEN. There was shouting all over. When Kenshin entered the room the shouting slowly subsided. Everyone watched him walking to the centre of the room. A devilish smile crept on the Mummy' face.

The Mummy : Hello Battousai Himura

Kaoru : Shishio san, he is not the battousai you once know of. He is Kenshin Himura lately.

Shishio : [laughing histerically], so how are you Himura Kenshin.

Kenshin : was very good till i saw you all.

Shishio : [turning back to the person sitting behind him], hey Saito, are you not gonna say hi to him?

Saito [the stone faced policeman] : [throws an indifferent look at Kenshin] Hey there

Kenshin : Hello Saito.

Sano : Hey Kenshin, you better stand on a table and say hi to the entire group once. else you would have to hi everyone separately.

hearing that, everyone started saying hi to Kenshin, just to irritate him. Kenshin, tightened his grip in his Sakabotou. Kaoru immediately went near him and took hold of his hand and made him bow to the entire group and took him out of the room. Everyone laughed.

Saito : You are no longer the Battousai i know and whom i wanted to fight with. You have become meek.

Kenshin turned back and looked at him but said nothing and left with Kaoru.

Kaoru took Kenshin to the dojo and shut the door.

Kaoru just looked at him saying nothing.

Kenshin : Kaoru-dono, I really dont like them being here

Kaoru : Why

Kenshin : They are very dangerous people. I really dont wish to see them. They kindle my past which i dont want

Kaoru : Even if they are not here, you would be reminded of your past sometime or the other. The best way i suggest would be to forget

Kenshin : Friends? They?

Kaoru : I know, I know. Not all can be your friends. But you can definitely give them a chance, rite.

Kenshin : [shaking his head] I dont know. But would do if you say so.

Kaoru : Yes i say. now go and smile at them

She opened the door and found everyone' ear on the door

Shishio : yea, smile at me

Kenshin :[smiled] Hello everyone.

Shishio : Atlast, i have got Kenshin on my side. Hurayyyyyyyyyyyyy. The strongest always win over the weak

Kenshin : [going red with anger] What?

Shishio : Hey relax, the strongest i mean now is about my positive thinking. I always thought i would be a good friend with you. Now its our beginning rite. so i win you rite? [smiling, his smile is still devilish]

Kenshin : [confused] [thinks, Am i really living or is this a fantasy world. Nothing seems to be real. Shishio becoming a good person, that would NEVER happen even if the world ends. whats going on here]

Shishio : What happened Kenshin? Why are staring at the space? We are in here. [called out from the KITCHEN]

Kenshin : errr.. yes i am coming

Kaoru : Kenshin, let go off your doubts. Just reciprocate what you get. [said with a very sweet smile]

Kenshin : [for a moment lost in her smile] Hai Kaoru-dono

Kaoru : [going a little red] Now go to your friends

Kenshin : I still dont know if they can be friends Kaoru-dono

Kaoru : Sorry for saying this Kenshin. But if you can change, so can others. dont you think?

Kenshin : [shaking his head as no but said] I guess so

Shishio : Hey Kenshin, What are you doing these days?

Kenshin : I take care of this KITCHEN

Saito : Take care not to mix up blood and tomato sauce
[before he finishes his sentence a kunai came towards his direction which he caught swiftly]

Saito : Whats with you?

Aoshi : You shouldnt be saying things like that

Misao : Well said Aoshi-sama. You want me to teach him a lesson

Aoshi : [turning to her] and you shouldnt be yelling in my ears

Misao : [whishpers] gomen Aoshi-sama. You want me to teach him a lesson

Aoshi : You still havent learned yours. Meditate with me daily. You have to calm down a lot.

Misao : Anything you say Aoshi-sama [sits in meditating posture]

Kenshin : [sweatdrop] Ok. What are you all doing?

Shishio : We are now real estate agents

Kenshin : A what?

Shishio : Yes. you heard me. Real Estate Agents. He [points to a long cloaked guy] takes care of the government dealings, and he [points to the guy with wings,] surveys a suitable land, and he [points to the guy covering his eyes] supervises our project, others help in either construction or destruction.

Kenshin : [a big sweatdrop] nice delegation of job. What about Saito and Aoshi

Shishio : Na. They both have their own business. Saito, you know hes in police and Aoshi, heard hes gonna be a father.

Kenshin : [turning to Aoshi] What you fed up with life so soon. I know you meditate a lot but becoming a father .....?

Shishio and Saito : [laughed uncontrollably, Aoshi going red] I meant he married Misao and hes gonna be a father soon. hes still a ninja.

Kenshin : Ah. Congrats to you both.

Shishio : So when is your marriage?

Suddenly the door burst open and entered the white haired guy with dark glasses. Seeing him, Kenshin lost his color.

White Haired Guy : [coming straight to Kenshin] Halo Kenshin. Aint i happy to see you [laughed demonically]

Kenshin : Hello Enishi. Why are you here?

Enishi : Ofcourse to eat. Isnt this a restaurant?

Kenshin : [another wierdo here. My brain and heart is gonna burst anytime now]

Enishi : ohhhhhhhhhh seems everyone is here. So what were you all talking?

Shishio : I was asking about Kenshin' marriage

Enishi : [suddenly becomes quite] ummmm...

Enishi : So whos our wife? errr i mean your wife?

Kenshin : I am not marrying again

Koaru : [hurt]

Sano : [goes to shishio and whispers]

Customer : [he didnt run away when this gang entered and was listening to all the con] [Came towards Kenshin ], Baka deshi. [hit him on the head] You still dont take correct decisions. do you?

Kenshin : orooooooooooo........ Sensei. What are you doing here?

Seijiro Heiko : Baka. Why are you asking everyone entering a restaurant why are they here. Arent they here to eat? [hits him again]

Everyone : [sweatdrop]

Kenshin : I thought you food is only saki.

Heiko : I do get saki here too. Okay where were we. Ah yes, [grabs his gi and pulls him to the door] Dont you really know that the Kamiya girl likes you

Kenshin : Hai sensei. I too. But i dont think i can give her happiness.

Shishio : Hey man, you cant say that without trying

Kenshin : [sweatdrop] ummmm.... if someone is pulled away from the crowd and talked isnt that meant to be private?

Shishio : Private? those are for friendless people. We are your friends and well-wishers. So nothing escapes our ears and eyes

Kenshin : yea right. Well-wishers

Heiko : [pushes Kenshin towards Kaoru whos blushing] Now go and tell

Kenshin : Kaoru-dono, ummmm....... errrrr..... I .......... I think ..........

Heiko : IDIOT, cant do anything right. Hey Kamiya girl, my desi baka likes you and want to marry you

Kaoru : [crimson red, big sweat drop]

Saito : Push them both out of the gate. let them go somewhere and talk

Shishio : Hey Saito, how come you know about all these things

Saito : I am married, remember.

Everyone pushed them both out.

Kenshin : Hey wait. I have to take care of the customers here

Heiko : All you do here is ask everyone coming here what are you doing here. That even i can ask. now go already

Kenshin : But customers ......... [shouts as Kaoru drags him out]

Shishio : [shouts back] Dont worry Kenshin. We will take care of that. We can be a good host you know.

Aoshi : I doubt if anyone would come here seeing us.

Yahiko : If they come, we have to be prepared. So i ask everyone to change to the KITCHEN' uniform to attend the customers

At the lake :

Kaoru : Gomen Kenshin. I draged you out.

Kenshin : Daijobou Kaoru-dono. Its better than being pushed out by them

Kaoru : [blushing] so Kenshin ....

Kaoru and Kenshin turns around to face Sano, Yahiko, Megumi.

Yahiko : Whats with you Kenshin? You came all the way to say you love to cook? Baka

Sano : Yahiko, hold your tongue. Kenshin, Whats your problem? BAKAAAAAAAAAAA [punches him hardly]

Megumi : Now now both of you. Stop it. Ken-san, you really must not be wasting time you know. Just tell her already

Kaoru : STOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPP. Stop it everyone. If he does not want to say, just dont force him. I am ok with it. [sobs]

Kenshin : Your tears wreck me Kaoru. Dont cry. [he wipes away her tears and embraces]

Kaoru : Kenshin.... [suddenly, pushes Kenshin off] If you all are here whos taking care of the KITCHEN

Sano : Well, Saito and Shishio told what would happen if we leave you both alone so we came into check you. IT happened just as they told. They seem to know you better Kenshin

Yahiko : Dont worry. They look better in our KITCHEN uniform, just like any normal person

Meanwhile at the KITCHEN, customers begin to enter as they dont see any weird people around

Aoshi : [stonefaced] Welcome Sir.

Customer 1 : [[sweatdrop, enters, saw a waiter and calls to him] Hey you, come here and take my menu

Saito : [turns to face the customer with read eyes] What is your menu sir? [asks under breath]

Customer 1 : [a big sweatdrop] no noooooooo nothing [runs away]

Shishio : You are doing it all wrong Saito. I told you to smile when you ask now let me handle the next customer

Aoshi : [cold eyes] Welcome Sir

Customer 2 : Ha.. Hai. [goes and sit in a chair ]

Shishio : Hello Sir. Nice to have you hear. What do you want to order? [smiles, a develish one]

Customer 2 : [faints]
